Overview of Study...The Effects of Loading on Bone Purpose: The overall goal of this study is to determine if the loads during gait and other daily activities, in normal subjects, are related to bone mineral density of the femur, tibia, and lumbar spine. Understanding the relationship between loading and bone may provide important information on underlying factors that could contribute to either the development of osteoarthritis or osteoporosis.
